Got about a minute in...
The whole point of playing this at a party gig is for the groove of the original
and if you can get it to work, it is good fun.
It is a total arse otherwise, IMO..
Not a fan of this, tbh...

I agree, and I love both of them. I like a cover with a totally different interpretation of a song.

I think what I like about this is that the electronic sections are what I had hoped Random Access Memories would be more like.
The funk/fusion sections are great for me as they are not too smartarse/complex (delete as appropriate) and have a super tight groove - a bit like a Dirty Loops where someone has intervened and binned all of the elements that I dislike.

The original and this cover both have different, but enjoyable grooves IMO.
