Oldish bass? help needed

Hi did a trade and got this bass and have been playing her live and loving it, sounds real good just like a fretless should, but cant work out the name on it,its faded away,looks like Heinz Sehert,also has German style wrighting on the back of the headstock,again faded,she has Dimarzio p and j pups and been fitted with a badass bridge,not sure of the woods used but there is srinkage so thinking she may be oldish.All the srews are old style pre phillips

the only thing I would like to change are the volume and tone pots,they are totaly worn out,any suggestions please

Not sure, but I'm sure you could flog it on 't Bay as a Wal bass

Looks good, no idea of the make sorry - but I could certainly make a wiring kit for it

The shape's not dissimilar to a Warwick Streamer, Warwick being another German manufacturer.

My gut instict is telling me that the neck and body have been united later? The body shape and the P J pickups are screaming 80s or 90s at me but the neck and headstock appear much older, could the body be a home brew added to that neck?

Yes I keep looking at this the workmanship on the head and neck fantastic does not match the body,thanks for your help guys

I once saw something similar that had been reshaped from a generic P bass copy body into something similar, the body edges made me think that to be possible here too?
