lojo
Bowie - Let's Dance
Did it recently, loved it, with a bit of brass also, though I wish I had an octave pedal for that song, seems to please to musical members of the crowd, but not really a great crowd pleaser if your talking an average party crowd. FinnDave
Can't think of anything I'd like us to do that we don't, but of the ones we do, Janis J's 'Move Over' is a favourite. https://thewirebirdswithjennyhaan.bandcamp.com/track/move-over

GrammeFriday
'Why' by Carly Simon. Been plotting that for a good while now, and this thread is a welcome reminder to give it a go.
Deep Thought
Always wanted to do Baba O'Reilly, never had the keyboard capability-maybe soon!

Count Bassy
Used to be "Pick up the Pieces", but we do that in the current band!
Japhet
There's loads, but at the moment I'd love to have a bash at Pump it Up by Elvis Costello. Really good fun to play and the sort of gigs we play I think it would go down a storm.
alyctes
"Little Green Bag" by George Baker - everybody knows it already as the tune from "Reservoir Dogs" and it's a wicked bassline... http://www.youtube....h?v=4b1wt3-zpzQ
Good call But I think that "These Boots Are Made For Walking" pips it. (It would suit our singer really well, too. But that band is pretty much defunct.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbyAZQ45uww
JamesFlashG
for me any steveie wonder song, there usually is at least one stevie song in standard function band sets and if i get on a gig with a real tight band i love it
Diablo
I love "Call Me The Breeze" and do it in the current band. The drummer hates it, he says it is far too repetitive. "why" I sat to him? The bassline can be played with the same 12 bar riff all the way through, but I play at least 4 different basslines as the song progresses, and each time I play it I pick and choose which I play. Second to that for me is Route 66, but again I play a bunch of different riffs as the song moves on otherwise it would be deadly boring. Cheers, Rich
Paul S
I would love to do UFO's 'Pushed To The Limit'. I think it is one of their very best tracks although, being a bit later than most of their big numbers, it went under a lot of folks' radar and isn't well know. Which is why it has always been vetoed when I have suggested it. Might possibly have another heavy rock covers band in the breach so I'll flag it up again . http://youtu.be/WN_OFCkzBpY
