mattbass6
Does anyone know how to "sweat out" a dink in a lacquered body of a bass? Bought it new recently but didn't see the dink in the shop. A bit gutted so, if you have any solutions to solve this, I would be grateful. Cheers
Grissle
Laquer Drop filling technique is the proper method. But finding someone with thatt skill could be tough.
PlungerModerno
I know it depends on the finish (nitro or poly) as well as the extent of the damage (to the wood or just dented paint...). A guitar restorer or finisher/refinisher might be the best to ask for advice. Hopefully one will take a look at the specimen and let you know how to make it better (or make it better for you ). Check out these for techniques or tricks... in the meantime: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xx4Zx5j0uE https://www.youtube....h?v=sgDG3gHk9Fo https://www.youtube....h?v=B32lbUhw_jA Edited October 9, 2014 by PlungerModerno
