It's the Red Lion, Upper Poppleton, York YO26 6PR The function room is perfect as a jazz venue, seats about 60 max so it's nice & intimate. There's a digital piano, p.a. & lights. Timothy Taylor Landlord Bitter, huge car park, friendly staff & clean toilets! Next Thursday 16th Oct I'm on bass duties with vocalist Jenny Smith. I've jammed with Karl Mullen a few times at The Swan when they had Wednesday night jazz jam nights - great pianist. I'll try to get there next time I'm up in York, although I won't make your gig .
