OutToPlayJazz Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Lovely looking bass From the story, that was a real bargain & you have a very wise lady friend, too! Quote
markytbass Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 Here are the other pics I promised, yes it's Afzelia and its had a good polish. As far as I know it had been hanging in the shop for over a year and didn't look like it had seen any wax. Next on the agenda is to find a good hard case for it. I have a semi-hard case (stagg) but I want something more substansive. thedontcarebear Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 You should pick up one of the Warwick flightcases, they are really cheap from Thomann and very solid. http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_ebass_flightcase.htm Quote
markytbass Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 Took it out this evening for an audition I had with a local blues band (first time I've played it loud! in a band situation). Played just on the neck pickup with the eq flat through an abused rehearsal room amp and it sounded great. Out again tomorrow night with another band, just a low volume practice using my Roland Cube30. Quote
