Perhaps more weird than wonderful, I fear.

I wonder why the band he was in, never took off?

You have obviously never heard of Liquorice and the Allsorts, :D

The weak link in the chain, right enough.

Aye, if it wasn't for the cheap tuners I'd be all over it.

[/quote]I did have to look up The Cartoons video to see if it would fit into thier band. However, the Upright Bass was a far superior bit of gear

Why do I find this strangely intriguing? I am not far from Sandhurst. I wouldn't mind it just as an ornament in the corner of my music room. I am sure my 5 year old daughter would think it amazing!

Maybe I am just passively absorbing effects of the huge quantities of Peppa Pig in our household. The way young daughters are able to cloud all sensible judgement in preference of "pink", "sparkly" and "unicorns"...

Oh dear I have lived (and continue to live) through that phase. I can only recommend a nudge towards Ben and Holly (which is quite funny) and to prepare for the onslaught which is Frozen.

This reminded me of a post I saw on Facebook recently, something like this (luckily my girls are old enough to see this as funny):

Dang! I missed it in the end! We were out with friends and I chose to keep my phone on silent and missed out on 99p bid. Blast, it looked to be worth at least £1.20... Never mind... Basses like this come up all the time :unsure: so I will have to wait for the next one.. Maybe I can just build my own. :D

At 99p a bargain for the strings and the tuners alone (if real double bass strings).

The strings are pink too, so I'm guessing it's a set of these;

Ah. Most of the (serious) ones I've seen seem to be around £100 a set!

Actually at 99p it would be well worth it for fire wood!
