FuNkShUi Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Price now dropped to £700 Here are a few pictures of it: I can provide more pictures on request. This is a 1963 Precision replica made my Mark from Limelight Guitars. There is a lot of love for these on the forum, and rightly so. A fantastic bass for the money, absolutely nails the vintage sound. Alnico Pickups It has the added benefit of having a nice slim jazz shaped neck. Im only selling this as something has come up that i'd really like to get. If it sells before mine, i'll remove this. It currently has old roundwound strings on it. Thats the sound i like, but i will throw in a set of Labellas Flats if the buyer would like them. I also will include a Fender Hardcase that isnt standard issue with these basses. Trials are welcomed and encouraged! Edited November 13, 2014 by FuNkShUi
karlfer Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Chris, following link contains the details on you bass as I was so desperately tempted myself. Was glad when you bought it, putting me out of my dilemma. Fortunately, with a second SEI inbound, I can't afford this GLWTS, Karl LINKY!! three Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The best Fender I've ever owned or played (and that's a massive amount!) is a Limelight. Buy this and be delighted.
FuNkShUi Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Cheers Three It is a delightful bass indeed
steviebee74 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I was “umming and ahhing” about this one when I bought my own limelight a few months back but I decided to opt for the Black one (with full P bass width neck) that I absolutely love. These are as good as anything you’ll get from the big “F” without going to custom-shop level (even then, you might be surprised). Whoever buys this will not be disappointed. GLWTS!
Geek99 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Don't usually like red, but that is hot with a capital ouch.
FuNkShUi Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Ive had a few questions asked in PMs, so i thought id answer them here so everyone who is interested can get the information. The issue of the bridge being frozen due to the relicing is apparent in this P. Well, in 2 of the 8 saddle screws anyway. It has never been an issue for me as i like the way its set up. But, i'm aware it may not be to everyones taste, so i will include a standard Fender BBOT from a '04 Precision in the sale. Also, ive been asked if there'd be a difference in price if i didnt include the hardcase and strings. If you dont require the case and strings i'll sell for £725. I can post, but it wil be at the buyers expense. Thanks
FuNkShUi Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Warwick basses are the only basses id consider. Im looking for a Thumb in particular With cash from my way for the right one.

Leslie77s Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I've got love for it Bump! but sadly not the cash this side of Xmas.
FuNkShUi Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Last price drop, then I'll withdraw and keep it £700. Bargain!
three Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 This really is a bargain, to mirror my earlier comment, these are amongst the very best relics I've seen or played. Don't be fooled by the relatively low price - amazing playability and tone with construction and attention to detail that is beyond CS IMO.
FuNkShUi Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Cheers three Yeh I think it's a good deal for whoever gets it.
Stealth Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Dont withdraw yet i have a cunning plan .....
