Flea in plagiarism shocker?

I know it's very unlikely that I'm the first person to spot this, but has anyone else noticed the uncanny similarity between Flea's famous opening riff to the Chilli Peppers' [i]Around the World:[/i]

Pretty bog standard blues-rock kinda riff, really. I'd be surprised if it wasn't already in use before Budgie as well.
It's all about context.

I know that I've come up with basslines only to discover, at a later date, that it was based on something I'd half heard and forgotten years before - after all, how many of us bother remembering rubbish basslines?
