JuliusGroove
What are the best bet for a bass chorus pedal? Never owned one.. Cheers!
RichF
hello, I use chorus frequently and the two best I have used are analogman http://www.analogman.com/clone.htm and Tech21 Bass Boost Chorus http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/effects/boostchorusbass.html - these are £120+ pedals. I moved to a nano board for most gigs and I sacrificed quite a bit of tone for a mooer ensemble king http://www.mooeraudio.com/en/ProductInfo.asp?id=27 which was OK, esp in the sort of rough and ready pub gigs I was playing, and was perfect in the micro casing. 0175westwood29
I use a cloned of the old brown boss chorus with a few tweaks, But the Tc chorus is also nice Andy

Mr Anthony
I've seen a few people using the EHX Small Clone, and it sounds pretty good actually. Doesn't have a great deal of tweakability from what I've gathered though.
paul_5
The small clone is a lovely, warm analogue chorus, but it loses too much bottom end for my liking. Great chorus for guitar though, I suppose if you had a blender then you'd be OK.
hrry
For the money, the Palmer Herrenchor is pretty tastey! Thomann have it at a good price too.
thisnameistaken
The Boss CEB-3 is pretty good. It has a real freezing '80s quality to it, and you can bypass your lower notes if you want to.
SmallDawg
I have owned several chorus pedals and have found the Boss CEB-3 to be the best and most versatile one on bass. I'm currently using the MXR Black Label Zakk Wylde chorus pedal and it rules but the CEB-3 has a real edge over it. -edit- using the MXR because i don't have a rack chorus for my bass rig yet and the MXR is on my guitar pedal board
BigBassBob
It depends on what chorus sound you'd want. If you want something more subtle you could go for a Neunaber Chorus, Iron Ether Polytope or the detune setting on a Digitech Whammy. These pedals produce a more subtle "shimmer" rather than a "warble" which can be overpowering in some circumstances. That said, the IE Polytope can go into the realms of absurd and "when am I ever going to use this?" I really fell in love with the Analogman Clone Chorus for its thick, rich swells and organic nature. Bear in mind that a lot of chorus effects can add some faint high-end noise. If you use tweeters or have a very treble heavy rig then some pedals are going to produce more hiss than others.
inthedoghouse
For the few times I use it, my Analogman chorus gives me no cause for complaint :-) Edited October 16, 2014 by inthedoghouse

ezbass
I've been using the EBS Unichorus for years, also has a flange and pitch modulation setting; a quality piece of kit. However, your own ears will be the best judge.

Higgie
I love my Analogman - But very tempted by the Aguilar as it looks a bit more versatile! How much are they Molan?
