ESP LTD B-204 any info?

been gassing for a second bass recently and was after a musicman esque thing but saw one of these and thought they looked the ticket just wondered if there is any info on them before i request to play one

I used to have an ESP LTD B-205FL. It's an active bass. Can't be used in passive mode and it's using the batteries all the time that you have the jack plugged in. The pups on mine weren't fantastically powerful, but that might be me, or the setup. That's the bad side.

The good side is the weight is good, not too heavy. The neck is amazing, nice and fast and the radius of the neck is very flat compared to many other basses. I thought it had good tone; although that is subjective and the eq was good.

For the money it's a good bass. If you're into active basses you could do a lot worse.

Comparing it to a Musicman, I think the tone isn't as "hot" as a Musicman. You should probably try before you buy. OR take advantage of the "distance selling" laws; got one mail-order and send it back if it's not your thing.
