Bassnut62
I love Leroy Hutson's music and it always has class bass lines
edpirie
Superb stuff - must check out his stuff - any recommendations of compilation or album to start with? I only know him to date as co-writer and producer on Arnold Blair's Trying to Get Next To You which has a sweet groove on it as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHKZsOk6xVQ
spongebob
Great artist - love his work. College room-mate with Donny Hathaway as well!
Huge Hands
Another great artist. I have the Love Oh Love album. I'm not sure the bass is that stand out, but I love his arrangements. The song that got me into him years ago was "Lucky Fellow" (not on the album mentioned above). The tight brass stabs used to get me every time. Bassnut62
Hutson I and Hutson II are both class LPs, also Closer to the Source, and there's one with great track Lovers' Holiday...can't remember the name of that LP tho. You can't really go wrong with any of his early-mid 70s LPs. I think there was Best Of Hutson LP too
