oggiesnr Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I want one! Not quite sure what I'd play on it but that's a mere detail http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2014/10/16/jackson-steel-guitar-company-introduces-slideking-bass/ Steve Quote
madshadows Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 That's really cool, sounds great John Quote
malbass Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Wow, that really surprised me! Thought it was just going to be a gimmick but that sounds excellent. Not cheap though and I bet it takes some practice to get the hang of it. Quote
PlungerModerno Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I was expecting something interesting. Then I watched the video and my jaw dropped. It's a new instrument - The man can play some sweet grooves on that.... fretless(ish) instrument. Now for a Peavey Powerslide version!!! Quote
bertbass Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 WOW! That would also solve the bad back problems! Quote
Ticktock Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 ..........blimey............ That is something else. He should play with Robert Randolph. Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I'd be all over the place playing that. Impossible . Not for me , im afraid Quote
gelfin Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I'm assuming the strings are flats ? This could be my next build project. Quote
RhysP Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014
WOW! That would also solve the bad back problems!
Possibly not - I started learning pedal steel guitar but I'm having to give up because sitting & using the foot pedals & knee levers seriously aggravated my back injury Quote
