Sorry for neglecting this thread, I really haven't had much time, but I got some proper noodling time tonight.
I should be able to get some sound clips sorted very soon too.

For now though, here's a bit of porn >>

This gets my vote for bass of the year that I shouldn't like but I do!

Thanks guys, I'm most chuffed with this bass.
I should also have some sound samples sorted before I go back to work on the 5th of January too.

The preamp is the new DFM one, but without the high mid/treble filter module, this one instead has two mid filters stacks, one per pickup and a passive tone with various switching options:
low mid boost, treble boost, active/passive and series/parallel/singlecoil for the RFB pickup.
Should keep me busy...

It’s not actually all that complicated ;)
I approach it like this:
Set the tone to get the fundamental sound, then use the low filter to dial in a bit more detail, low mids etc, this can obviously effect the brightness of the sound, to I’ll pop the treble boost if necessary (useful for bright/aggressive sounds).
The mid boost is useful depending on what you end up doing with the low filter, you can use it to get a bit more pop back into the sound.

You can obviously set the low filter per pickup and blend the two to create a more complex sound too.

I'll be bringing it along to the London Bass Guitar Show if you fancy a shot on it...
