chrisanthony1211
New price &750 I purchased an AER Amp one off basschat early this year which developed a fault a couple of months ago. I returned it to westside distribution in Glasgow who are the AER UK distributers and after a number of weeks of trying they were unable to identify the fault. AER should have just told me that I was unlucky and to buy a new amp (being the third owner of a six year old amp I couldn't have complained) but being the absolute best company in the world, AER have agreed to send me out a brand spanking new AER amp one instead (the new version with the foam grill) Whilst I have been waiting for my new amp one I have purchased an Orange TB500c which I have fallen in love with, so this is now surplus to requirements. These retail at £1050 and I'm selling for £850 with shipping negotiable. There is nothing that can touch these amps for power to weight ratio, and their customer services speak for themselves! The bass whisperer does a utube review of these (below) which Show how good these are, and there are various reviews on the web which say how great this is, they are not wrong! This is being shipped to me from Germany next week and I will put photos up once it arrives, and anyone is free to come and give it a go. This is 200 watt with a single SICA 10 inch speaker and weighs in at only 29 lbs with a very nice in built compressor, it will also have a brand new gig bag with it. Do not be fooled by this only having 200 watts anologue power with one 10 inch speaker, the sounds that this thing can make are immense! Check out the reviews, these are great. Check out the utube link below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_MiimcHKGQ Edited November 15, 2014 by chrisanthony1211

chrisanthony1211
Jammy.......yep.......but what a company! There can't be many companies that take this kind of responsibility for their products. I'd keep it, but unfortunately I can't keep everything! (Mrs Anthony says so!) chrisanthony1211
Amp arrived in good order and photos of the unpacking posted, UPS thought it was a good idea to leave a £1000 amp on my doorstep whilst I was at work! Fortunately no one decided to walk off with it. I've given this a little test run just to make sure all is OK and I'd forgotten what a great amp this little beast is, how do they make such a small amp so loud. I forgot to take a photo of it in the gig bag, but I shall add one later. Or maybe I should keep it! chrisanthony1211
Damn it, I've been playing both these all morning and they are both great, different, but great in their own way. The TB500c definitely has more presence with its isobaric 212 cab but not by a lot, it's really surprising that the AER can live with it. The 500 watts and 2x12 speakers of the TB500c only really pull away volume wise when the volume gets past 12 o'clock, and those valves give it some dirt. I played a gig last Friday in a medium sized bar, with PA support and was only on four! The wife wants me to keep the AER because it's smaller! I really don't know, I think I'm gonna have to take the, both to rehersal on Tuesday and get some opinions from the boys! You can really tell the difference size wise in the photo below, the AER is so portable it's absolutely ridiculous what it can do! If anyone wants to come and have a play with either they are more than welcome. Oldman
Keep the AER, get a Sub and use it at larger gigs, or all the time. I supplemented my Amp One with a Roland Sub it was pretty damn good. I regret selling on my Amp One it was the most compact bestest 'rig' when coupled with the Sub. You bought it, AER replaced it, it is your destiny to keep it. chrisanthony1211
I do have a spare AER amp one front grill if anyone is interested, I bought it direct from AER with the intention of building myself a home made extension cabinet, however it never came to fruition.
