tom1946
Guys, my wife needs a clip on microphone for her sermons as she's very quietly spoken. I bought one off ebat for 9 quid and it's rubbish. So we want to spend a bit more and get a decent one that's well made and reliable, it will connect to a small mixer then into a roland active cube speaker. Any suggestions gratefully received thanks. bertbass
Personally I wouldn't waste my time with a clip on mic in the situation you're trying to use it in as you'll only get feedback or very little volume boost. I'd use a decent headset mic then at least the mic will be close your good ladies mouth and you'll have a chance of getting a bit of volume without feedback. Ben Jamin
The Line 6 XD-V55HS is pretty good value Wireless is expensive (at least usable ones are)!
gelfin
I operate the sound system at my church. Some speakers will only use the clip type mics. Others are happy to use headsets. I never get a level or feedback problem with the headsets. However with the clip mics all sorts of problems occur. Feedback, loss of level when they turn their head. Extraneous noise when they move (depending on clothing and position) Yes, good wireless is expensive, but if you are going to do it. Do it well.
