My only concern would be that the bridge looks very new for a 41 year old bass, from the pictures the rest looks ok to me

looks ok - its a refinish so value about half un-refinished - if originality is not important looks ok to me

Without neck and plate off it's difficult.
The pup and in particular the pup screws don't look like 41 years of sweat and looking at the holes for tug bar on top and bottom of plate something has occurred.
Mind, I need to flog something first anyway, perhaps a pipe dream at the mo

I've been in touch with him and he has a specific sum in mind that he'd accept for it otherwise he says he'll keep it. He seems a genuine seller - unlike other recent vintage Fender sellers mentioned elsewhere 😉. There's no harm in having a look Karl.
