bagsieblue
Thought this looked familiar. Hmm..something not right with this one, although the seller might have just picked up my old pics online. But...... if pics of a bass are online (and are obviously not 'stock' pics) should you expect to receive the exact same item / the very item as in the pictures http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Spector-Euro-5-LX-Black-Cherry-/281473830963?pt=Guitar&hash=item418925d033 I bought and traded the bass onwards on this very forum! I know this is my old bass due to the 'purple haze' above the neck pickup / upper and lower horn - previous owner steamed off the 'board and some got under the lacquer. itsmedunc
I've mailed him asking what the mark above the pickup is... Will post what he says if he replies.
bagsieblue
Ok - will be interesting. Certainly are pictures taken by me. Eagle eyed will see the D and G strung incorrectly as I cut the string too short!! As far as I know the bass lives in Birmingham (UK). bagsieblue
and if you need more areas to probe..... The fretboard is a replacement. The inlays are stick on ones, I did this as well so may be a bit wonky in places....
itsmedunc
The reply... A glare. The bass looks almost mint. I'm happy to do 1250 plus actual shipping cost if you pay a PayPal invoice. Are you in the UK?
bagsieblue
Not a chance!!,..ask him about the board and the inlays not looking straight (follow the line of the strings)...
itsmedunc
I would do but I think I upset him! When he answered, I answered him with a message meant for somebody else! Basically, when you put his answer and my reply to it together, I ripped the p*ss out of the bass! Weil, another unhappy yank to the list... Musky
He's listed it as 'New Other', exactly the same as an item he recently received negative feedback for.
very used condition listed as new other
I wonder if he's got a knackered Spector he's trtying to pass off as "A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear"? In any case I would contact Ebay for infringement of the copyright in your pictures (against Ebay rules) and pointing out that as the previous owner this in no way is unused and is likely a fraudulent auction.
