Hi from from North Cyprus. Born and bred in Carlisle Cumbria, but now retired and living in North Cyprus with my best mate, My wife. OK i was give a Peavey Milestone 1V 4 String Bass Guitar, Tourqe Mixer and Amp about 2 years ago. they have sat at the back of the wardrobe since then.

So decided to try and learn to play the bloody thing, let's say i am not a youngster anymore, well have been drawing the State Pension for a few years now.

So hope to learn a few tips on this forum.

Cheer.

Bill. A budding Mark King i hope.

Welcome to BC Bill. :)

Lovely place you live in - spent a few years there around the SBA.

Stick with the Bass - you'll soon get enjoyment from it. ;)
Hope you enjoy the company here.

Hi All.

Thanks for the welcomes. Any idea where i can download a chart or a diagram to show where to put my fingers on the fret, would be ideal for practise.

Many Thanks. Bill.

I had the pleasure of a day trip over the Green Line back in 2002. Really enjoyed it - what a lovely place. I would love to go back some day and see a bit more.

Welcome to the joys of learning bass in later life. I hope it brings you as much joy as it has me.
