Kevsy71
I'm considering he following setup, anything I should be aware of...? P bass - > LeadFoot A/B/Y signal splitter ----> Fender Rumble 200 combo (v3, 1x15) with tone set flat ----> Fender Rumble 200 combo (v3, 1x15) with tone set for some drive ...plus (when needed) DI from the SansAmp to PA. Aim is for:

portability, saving one on the head-cab-cab trip I make to the car now
flexibility, as I can just take one combo to practice
tonal mix, with the chance of mild drive through one combo and clean through the other
I prefer this over a single combo and ext cab because I'm assuming that the two combos will struggle less at volume, because it's not a very powerful head, and also it allows (3) above. Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers.
Lozz196
As long one combo on its own is loud enough for your needs it looks a good idea to me.
chris_b
The modular approach works for me.

Ghost_Bass
Can you get from the Sansamp the same sound on the PA that you get from your combo mix? This is the only issue i can see but it's easilly solved by mic'ing both combos.
basexperience
Not only that, but you could use stereo effects or use the separate effects loops to give some colour to the driven side (i.e. light chorus if required) without disturbing the fundamentals (very Muse-esque)
BassStars5
Sounds good. I use a 2 amp setup, 2 Trace Elliot's, a 7210 300w 2x10 combo and a AH300 300w head and 1x15 cab. Mine is routed:- instrument > a/b/y switch then output A goes to pedalboard then to the 7210 combo. Output B goes direct to AH300 head and 1x15 cab giving a clean bass underneath at all times. It really fattens up and makes the overdrive sound much more solid, ala Muse (as mentioned above), RATM, Chili's, etc.
