steve-soar
Yep. It is in Wales.
I had John build it for me in 1986 and as a deal with my good friend Colin, manager of Hessey's, Liverpool, I paid cost price. I have the serial number recorded somewhere but I have a horrible feeling it is in papers that were with my ex, so there is no way of retriving it. I would buy this bass back today, simple as that. 4000
Minus the add-ons and if a right hander - and with some crescent inlays - that's what I'd want a Jaydee to look like. Had one very similar actually, but without the neck binding; great bass, but soooo heavy. They really seem to vary a great deal. I've played some that were fairly light but never had the funds to buy them at the time.

Before you go to bed tonight can you all say a prayer for this bass to be re-united with its original owner? I have asked Beerdragon to pass on the request to the person who owns it but I would appreciate some divine intervention. Thank you all in advance and have a good nights sleep. doctor_of_the_bass
I'm not a religious person as this particular `reality' is just a series of waveforms decoded by our DNA/RNA strands but ask, and thee shall receive! I'd love some of my old JayDees back, espec. #00002
I guess if you are playing with a pick & upside-down like that (it is strung as a right hand) then the cover is useful -- But it doesn't "look well" does it?
