ash
There's an awful lot of nice P basses up for sale at the moment but here goes.... This is my early JV Squier Precision bass - for those not in the know these are very special basses indeed and were made to the original specs of the Fender Pre CBS basses. This has the serial JV followed by five digits beginning number 2 making it late Oct 1982- January 83. It comes with the case it was originally purchased with and both are in excellent cosmetic and working condition. All hardware works as it should and the neck is straight with plenty of life in the frets and a working trussrod. The bass is light at just over 8lbs and balances well on a strap. The original pickup sounds just like a vintage P should and its currently strung with old mellow roundwounds. The original sunburst finish is in excellent condition with no chips or major scratches, there are some small blemishes consumate with age but only minor dings. The neck is lovely and clean with only a small scratch on the front of the headstock. All hardware is original however the scratchplate is an old replacement. The case has had a new handle fitted at some point. The bass plays and sounds superb and Ive not seen a sunburst one in such good condition. http://www.21frets.com Edited January 4, 2015 by ash
