Merton Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 (edited) Flightcasewarehouse.co.uk flightcase, made in 2006 for my Trace AH300-12 head, which I haven't owned for almost a year... Internal Dimensions H14 x D37 x W48cm In pretty good nick really, it's sat in a cupboard unused for about 18 months, since I took the head out of it and used the case as a cunning space-waster. Brand new it was £160, I'm looking for (2009 edit) £35+shipping ono. overwater#1 Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Hey Mert! Will it take my AH400SMX, with the UV? I can't remember whether yours had UV in it? If it will fit.. whack it in the post now!!
Merton Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008
Hi , How many units is it? Thanks
Hello! No idea - it doesn't have a rack in it. I guess you could fit one and fit 2 or 3 units in. My TE head was 2U high but that excluded the wooden sleeve, so I reckon 3U is a good bet. Merton Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 Bumpity. Will prob fit most Ashdown heads in it as well as the Trace range
Merton Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 I think the older (sleeved) Warwick heads might fit too
Merton Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 Bump. THIS is the exact model of amp it was designed for - take the feet and handle off and it's a perfick fit. Someone buy both
johnnylager Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008
...it's sat in a cupboard unused for about 18 months, since I took the head out of it and used the case as a cunning space-waster.
I thought it was just me.
Merton Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 Bump- how does £35+shipping sound? This has been being used to house my LH500 recently but finally bought a proper rack for that!
MB1 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 MB1. AH350 smx....not big enough! Unfortunately!......BUMP!
Merton Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Still here. There have been a few Trace heads sold recently which would be the perfect fit for this... Go on, you know you want to!

Merton Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 This is available again due to a rather long winded series of events! £35 ono plus shipping
joegarcia Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Hmmmm.... how exact are those measurements? I have something that will very nearly fit. Are they including foam?
Merton Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Very exact give or take a mm or so, that's the external dimensions of the old Trace head I had and it fitted this like a glove. These dimensions are from the foam edges if that makes sense - if you need a few more mm or cm it can probably be squashed/cut to accomodate

My Burman MPA preamp is 49cm wide 17cm tall and 30cm deep.

Moos3h Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Am I being a simpleton? How does an amp bolt in? Or doesn't it? I have a Warwick WAMP 300, would it fit that do you think? I'm struggling to get measurements for mine as I can't find a tape measure. Argh!

This case was designed for a head in a wooden sleeve so no bolting in like a rack, it was just an incredibly snug, cushioned fit
Moos3h Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Ah, I'll see if my ears come off then, and measure. If it fits, I could be interested as the thing is a pain to transport otherwise. Thanks, James

Thanks, James
I have a picture somewhere of my LH500 in this, that is a rackmount head; the ears help it fit perfectly width-wise, but depending on the amp (I guess yours is a 2U?) then you'll have to find a way to pad the amp a lot on top or bottom...
Merton Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Here it is, not as clear as I remembered but hopefully will help: (That's not me, but the wonderfully sexy-legged Joe Truscott) 1
