RIP Jack Bruce

Saw him at Cornbury a couple of years ago. he was very smiley and his playing was great. RIP Jack, one of the true greats. Very sad.

Very sad, but not a massive shock. He looked extremely frail in his last BGM appearance. Still, a huge loss. I was never a Cream fan but his early solo albums are among my favourites.
I think I'll dig out my EB3 tonight.

I still struggle with Born under a Bad Sign singing and playing. An inspiration to me from Graham Bond days when I saw him twice at Chester Quaintways playing his Fender Six string which at my stage of competence ( non existent ) and age (16) seemed amazing, still does.

'Badge' was one of the first basslines I learned. I was 17 and had just bought a Wilson Rapier bass. An early and important influence. Sad, sad news.
