Cscsiga Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) He used 4 basses during the first Knotfest concert. Well folks, I'm not sure about 2 bass guitar. Write your guess below, if you know them. I'm also not sure about his amp, because it wasn't on the stage, but in the "The Devil in I" music video he's playing on a Mesa Boogie. I think it was Pulse 600 model. Here are the guitars: Yamaha Billy Sheehan Signature bass (Modded): The neck pickup and 2 control knobs aren't there. This second one is a bit tricky. It has an acryl body. It looks like a fender P-bass with some kind of humbucker in the middle, but the neck and the headstock look like a Kramer which is aluminium. EDIT: Electrical Guitar Company custom order. Thank you bartelby! They also look like a P bass, but the bridge is different and also the headstock. The finish of the body is unusual and one of them has a shiny metallic frame. They also have only 1 control knob (probably volume control). My far guess is these guitars are Warmoth Custom basses. Correct if they are not. Dandelion Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 How does Jay Weinberg stand up to Joey? Quote
Cscsiga Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Jay Weinberg is a sick bastard. As good as Joey. Quote
BigRedX Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) I would agree the second is probably an Electrical they seem to be making quite a few instruments with clear acrylic bodies. The third one could be a James Trussart. No idea about the last. Edited October 26, 2014 by BigRedX Quote
Cscsiga Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 I don't think it's a James Trussart. I'm pretty sure it's wooden body, not steel. Quote
CamdenRob Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Are any of them audible in the mix? Edited October 28, 2014 by CamdenRob Quote
Billy Apple Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I see he has a super scary Halloween mask. I wonder who made that, his Mum? Quote

Cameronj279 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Sorry to re-open this thread but I just saw them tonight and he was using 2 basses. Both of which were Status basses (I can't say the models as I know bugger all about Status basses) but one was headless with Green LEDs (which were bright as a bright thing) and the other was a headed model with just the one pickup. They sounded really nice when I could actually hear them! Quote
I could be wrong but I am sure I remember in TG Jim Root saying he played the bass parts on the album. The bassist (and the other replacement, drummer maybe?) are only considered as gig players and are not officially part of the band. Might change though. Quote
Bekmowf Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Yeah CameronJ he was using two Status basses at download the other week too. One was deffo the orange-ish series 3, I reckon the other could have been a series three too or possibly a stealth. Was quite surprised to see a metal band using these tbh but at least he's shopping local ;-) Quote
Bekmowf Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) Series 3 I reckon. Maybe wrong on the colour. Edited July 14, 2015 by Bekmowf Quote
ChristianJuschkat Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 The other one is the Chris Wolstenholme Signature. 90% Quote
