I love all of these, well done everyone. I loved the powerful, emotive piece from Bilbo, but I'm naturally drawn towards the more electronic/industrial ones. I'm going to have to take a bit longer and have a few more listens, but at the moment it's a toss up between Skol and Leonard

Here is today's 'Play of the Day', where each in turn is commented with my own thoughts...

Why not pop over and choose your favourite..?

Brilliant work once again everyone! Was torn between two, both with an old and new thing going on - Alibabu's retro tune going against a contemporary track, and Leonard Smalls' funky groove emerging out of an industrial soundscape. Leonard just pipped it in teh end.

I had a hard time choosing between several thought-through and well produced entries this month. Bilbo's composition skills should be well known to all that have been following these competitions for a while, just as much as Skol's pro quality productions. But since the essence of this competition is making music that matches a picture, I had to go with his Lordship the Sausage this time. Excellent production with lots of layers that blend well, and makes repeated listening interesting. I especially like the subtle "pulse" that drives the piece forward without taking too much place in the mix.

It's between two entries for me,Bilbo's and alibabu. When i look at the picture i get a sense of sadness from the robot. Also the overall colour of the for painting gives a moody vibe so i went for what i think captured that the most.

( I just noticed when i came to write this that alibabu had voted for me, this is a genuine vote, not just cos he did for me haha)

It's Skol or Leonards Smalls contributions for me. Both excellent.

This. I love the way Skol mixed his track, sounds coming at me from all directions. Good stuff. Mr Smalls gets my vote though, well done.

Cheers! Looks like my effort this month is slightly better received than last month's appalling racket.
This one's just a racket...

Good stuff all round this month, well done folks.

Between Bilbo and Alibabu for me, they went down the theme route,
as opposed to the Industrial and Mechanical soundscaping (which ALL sat well with the pic - imho).

Alibabu got my vote, for his moody and lyrical theme.
(It would be interesting to hear it in an Orchestral and electronic hybrid style).
