Anyone used Ishibashi to import a bass from Japan ?

Yes!

If you're after a new CIJ Fender you'll have to look elsewhere as Ishibashi won't export them anymore. However there's a lot more to Ishibashi than that. The only difficulty you may run into is that because of the time difference between Japan and the UK,if you're after something popular from the U-box it might well have been sold before you get a reply to your initial email enquiry.

However their service is excellent and you can read more about it in this post when I bought a used Tokai Talbo from them. Any further questions I'll do my best to answer...

I haven't, other people have, the search function is dead handy though

But like BRX said, Fender Japan put their foot down and stopped all CIJ export of new instruments, only way to get hold of them now is "second hand". Far East Guitars and The Guitar Emporium are places to look :)

Looking at a white Ibanez ATK, I asked GAK but they said the white ones don't ship to Europe, only Japan/Far East.
If you have a look in the Ibanez ATK thread in here somewhere, there's a rather nice pic of one.
