Dood
Hi all! As you may know already, I write for one of the (if not the) biggest guitar magazine in the world. The FREE to read and FREE to subscribe to Guitar Interactive Magazine. (http://www.iGuitarMag.com) I've decided to create a sticky post here for all of us at BassChat for you to be able to access all of the old reviews. It's been quite a time consuming thing to do as I had to open each of the magazines in turn to extract the review names and links. So, for your enjoyment - and hopefully they will be useful, are all of my reviews to date. I'll add the more recent reviews as I go. (There's also a whole host of YouTube videos extracted from the magazine too but you'll need to search for them using my name.) Dad3353
Good gracious..! It's going to take me weeks to get through all of this..! No, I was unaware of the existence of this magazine and of your collaboration. Thanks for posting; I'll be back at around Christmas-time. Dood
Apologies that there are interviews, bass, amp and effects reviews all in one post. It'd take until the following christmas to split them up throughout BassChat's review forum. Maybe i'll do that when I've nothing else that needs doing first ha!! Happy Jack
Good stuff Dan, but as soon as you click on the link you are asked to Register (with a reminder that you should "remeber" to use your registered email address). I get enough spam already ...
Dood
You actually won't get any spam. You do get a reminder mail when a new addition is coming out with what to look forward to in it, but you don't have to receive those mails. Registration and subscription is FREE and you also get access to a whole host of other freebies such as a free copy of Guitar Pro amongst other offers. Seems crazy to turn it down just based on a cuppla emails? I mean, that's a lot of reviews for nothing more than a bit of your time!
Dad3353
OK, signed up; looks good. I've just gone through the Bison run-down; jolly good. maybe a tad more on how the bass feels (neck width, 'hang', weight..?). Just a thought, it's damned good 'as is'. Off now to have a peek at the other reviews. There's a lot to get through beyond that, too. Good work, Dood. Dood
Excellent, thank you please do suggest things I can add in reviews! - Mostly I talk about feel and weight in the written review as they tend to go hand in hand - but I'm off to the studio tomorrow so I will take your points on board - You notice that I make a point of not 'shredding' through the reviews. The videos certainly aren't about me personally but hopefully the bass details I get across clearly.

planer
Awesome mate, I've just spent a couple of hours clicking through the reviews. Some very interesting stuff, and I even found myself reading some of the guitar articles - whatever next!! Sign-up / sign-in process is refreshingly quick and easy. It's a tiny price to pay for access to a large amount of well-written, nicely presented and interesting content. Thanks very much

I have to add the latest issues to the pile too! Thank you very much! I love doing these reviews I think maybe this post should be somewhere more visible? Anyway, I think the Matrix is a very cool amp, however I did end up selling it when the new breed of 800W D Class heads appeared on the market. Which is hilarious as I recently bought a QSC GXD8 power amp for big gigs which I don't really need as the TC Electronic BH800, my current lightweight head is a very capable machine in itself. The thing I really like about the QSC verses the Matrix though, given they are a similar weight - is that the QSC has onboard DSP for tailoring your signal in to the cabinets of your choice. I will however add each issue content in to the first post when I have time. Due to changes online, some of the earlier links no longer work, but use this one instead and that will hoepfully take you to each magainze front page: https://www.guitarinteractivemagazine.com/issues/
