Tuco Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Hey Chatters Going to build my first pedal, decided on a WM clone. I know these pedals don't work so good with active basses, but are they OK with hot passives?? I have SD Hot for Jazz pups which output 15/16k Hoping .... Quote
Mr Anthony Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I've been using a WM clone with Quarter Pounders in my Precision. Seems fine to me. Can get a bit crazy when you start turning up the wool control, but I imagine it does that on any bass. Quote
xgsjx Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 You can always turn the volume down on the bass & increase the input gain on the amp. Quote
paul_5 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 You could always use a couple of resistors as a T pad to attenuate the input before the actual circuit - that might help to set the input impedance for the pedal too. Quote
