[/quote] No, not personal experience, I was born a few years after WW2 rationing ended - and am very pleased about that as it's looking as if my generation is possibly the most fortunate in human history. Obviously that's a general statement and there will always be exceptions, but I think the general level of wealth and privilege of the 'baby boomers' is well documented.
