I had a P bass copy where the pickguard left a gap near the output socket like that. May even be the same one. It certainly wasn't made in Mexico and wasn't a Fender and I don't believe this one is either

Also if you look carefully you can see that the machine heads are slightly on the wonk I dont think it is a real Fender but it could be maybe it just has a really cheap and nasty scratch fitted?

If you guys read the description, it says the bridge and pickguard is none original

Goblin has spotted it - it's a poorly fitting pickguard and a replacement bridge, and the ad says the original ones can come with the bass.

The tuners, decal, contouring and headstock all seem to be period appropriate MIM (about 2003). I could be fooled easy enough though.

Looks genuine to me too - the MiM fenders are basically Squires with a factory fitted fender decal after all!
