SOLD

Having a bit of a clear out and decided to part with my customized Peavey. The original build thread can be found here:
http://basschat.co.u...33#entry2488933

As stated in the build thread it was built using a 1978 Peavey T-40 for a donor bass, with a custom build basswood '51 fender-like body with an arm contour. As you can see from the pictures, the paint job is not perfect. After the last fret the edge of the neck (fretboard) has been sanded off – this is how I got it, it was not even lacquered so my bass tech has applied same color lacquer and now it looks nice. The neck is in really nice shape – extremely small dings and a few scuffs. As You can see from the photos it is a bit harder to show the exact color since it tends to be different in different light, but I hope You get the general idea. Currently strung with Fender Flatwounds.

I am selling it with all the other original bits and pieces pictured (except the original body). The other pickup works fine, as I remember all the pots were OK, I believe only the switches were troublesome – perhaps one of them. So it can be restored with a T40 body if anyone is up to that.

More hi-res photos of the bass can be found here: https://plus.google....COyq_rTg_-zc4QE

The bass alone costed me 400 plus, so I believe that SOLD is a fair price. I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. For other EU countries – please, inquire for price due to huge differences in shipping rates. I suppose that PayPal is best as payment method. You can find my feedback here : http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1612354

Feel free to ask me any additional questions or demand additional photos. I want to tell You in advance that due to my working schedule it is possible that I would not be able to ship it immediately, but if we negotiate a deal I can put it on hold and after I know when I can ship it, payment can be made the same day that I ship.

it is originally situated like this in the T-40s. I haven.t flipped it since the access to the micro tilt adjustment is supposed to be from the back side and through the neckplate. The new body is also routed for access to the micro tile system.

Cheers

I know :) Just minor OCD coming through me there.

Lovely bass, GLWTS

I got all excited when I saw T-40 in the title as I'd love to try one (with Duo-strap or 'block & tackle')

Cool looking bass though.

This is awesome! Is it wired as a full time humbucker?

Yes, it is. I have thought of a switch, but didn't get around to do it.
