CamdenRob
It does look good though... without the signature and association I'd be interested.
PlungerModerno
"Throughout the entire phenomenal history of the band, the groundbreaking music of U2 has been underpinned by the gracefully muscular bass work of Adam Clayton. His impeccable groove and expansive tone form the sonic foundation of one of the biggest bands in the history of rock music, never more powerfully than today. Fender’s Adam Clayton Jazz Bass puts his rock-solid sound and style in your hands, with elegant appointments and elemental tone, including two potent Fender Custom Shop pickups and a beautiful Sherwood Green Metallic gloss finish with matching headstock."
From the fender website. . Couldn't disagree more with everything referring to the band and the player - but the bass looks alright. +1 to what CamdenRob said - not interested with any association with U2 or Mr. Clayton. stingrayPete1977
It makes these endorsee whores look like idiots if you ask me, flea did a massive campaign for the Acoustic amps, it was in every magazine going but by the time they went on tour a few months later he was back with GK even though the adverts were still being printed, I'd have stayed with the lakland and I bet he would have too but who is on the board at fender, bonio and his bald hat wearing mate so it's no surprise is it? njr911
I like it as a colour scheme, apart from the squiggle. If only it were nitro finish, poly feels very synthetic to me.

deepbass5
I noticed on a youtube video that Nathen East has been playing his signature bass for over 30 years. Now thats loyalty and a working partnership in action.

uncle psychosis
I can never quite understand the abuse Adam Clayton gets, it's a bit odd. I don't really like u2 but him and the edge take way too much stick in comparison to other, similar artists. As to the bass itself, I don't get it. It's just a really, really expensive green jazz bass isn't it? If that is what I wanted I'd rather buy a standard one and get it refinned to my own custom colour, it would probably be cheaper. If it's just designed to appeal to Adam Clayton fans then fair enough but there seems precious little to excite anyone else.
