The Ripper sounded great. Interested to hear the differences between the Precision basses, the 79 with flats sounded lovely.

Thanks for posting. Difficult to choose just one sound for some of the basses, but very interesting nonetheless.

Soloed, I'd have to go for the J with flats as my preferred tone there. However, live would probably be a different answer. You can certainly hear why the 'Ray5 is such a popular live bass in an ensemble, it really cuts through. Interesting too to hear a Ric and P in such close proximity, not really that dissimilar despite the reputation for the 'clank' (well to my ears anyway).

Great stuff. Best in my book was the P with flats or the t40 - but I have GAS for a t40 and am getting to know my first passive P with flats ATM so that's to be expected!
