bakerster135
Does anyone have any tips on where I could purchase a suitable box or packaging for posting a Jazz Bass neck? I'd rather just buy a box than carve up and a load of cardboard and stick it together!... If anyone can help, it'll be much appreciated

hamfist
If you can get a solid cardboard tube to fit, generally made for artwork, they are extremely protective.
headstock
and loosen the strings a bit, if it is going on a plane. then in the box lot of bump - stuf, like paper, foam, egg boxes etc. fill it up. Wrap the whole bass in plastic before putting in the box.secure the headstoch with carton (like in a bass case). the carton on the outside can be protected with xtra ducktape etc. make a handgrip on the box, just small enough that is doesn't het thrown. Grangur
I normally just carve a large cardboard box, add loads of bubbly-wrap stuff and bend it as needed to get it into the post box. OK, maybe not the last bit.
