pfretrock
Phil Spector never hired a session bassist who used a Spector bass. He reckoned there was only room in the studio for one Spector.
yorks5stringer
Welsh Girl Band, "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll-llantysiliogogogoch" enjoyed no success as DJ's were 10 seconds into their songs before finishing pronouncing their name. Following a foreshortening of it, their first hit came with "We Got The Beat"

Phil Adams
Despite giving up the Womble suit some years ago, Mike Batt still lives in a cave on Wimbledon Common and can be seen daily collecting discarded litter. He has developed a lucrative recycling business and it's reckoned that his earning from bottles and tins outstrip his earnings from record sales by some 30.000 to 1. Phil Adams
Slayer were originally got together to be The Leo Sayer Band. Unfortunately for Leo, the members were all thrash metal fans and soon tired of playing mindless drivel pop songs and met with their management to discuss breaking away. Small print in their contracts prevented them from any proper, self respecting metal band name, so they stuck with Sayer, only adding the "L" when their garden leave period expired. yorks5stringer
7 of the Top 40 Hits this week are all sung/co sung by the artist "Feat". "Feat" when she was young was known as "Little Feat" and enjoyed a successful career with Lowell George et al. However she wanted to do her own thing and now works in a variety of different genres, usually as one of three singers. Despite closely guarding her identity, "Feat" has enjoyed more single success this year than any other artist bar none including Lady Gaga. "Feat" regards the music business as transient however and is rumoured to be considering a career in Podiatry.

leschirons
It is not just urban myth that when 60's flowery shirted popsters "Honeybus" sang " I can't let Maggie go" they actually did end up doing just that, try as they might to hold the mooring ropes at a charity ballooning day near Ipswich.
