BetaFunk
This programme is available on BBC iPlayer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0495mw5 Great programme and essential listening about one the greatest session players ever who made the Danelectro 6-String Bass his own. Lots of interest for all Bass players.
Big_Stu
It was excellent! I taped it (yup! on a real cassette deck!) for a mate & will be burning it to CD for him. It was an amazing hour of ticking off hit after hit that he was on.

What surprise me on here sometimes is that here is a guy that is so interesting and important as far as Basses go but there is little interest. On the other hand there are 40+ posts in a thread about zombies. BC can be a very strange place at times.

BetaFunk
I had to check for a moment whether The Apprentice was on at the same time and could be the reason that no one else on here seems to have listened to it.

BetaFunk
Well unless this thread gets 40+ posts and over 400 views then it looks like The Apprentice is more popular on here that a legend of the bass guitar. That's a bit strange on a bass forum isn't it?
Telebass
Well, I'll taje Harold over the zombies any day. Might I request a copy if I cover the expenses, pretty please?
lowdown
The fact that you mentioned 'six string bass' sent them all running. You should have posted in off topic under 'tic tac' and fooled them. Yep, a good listen and a real legend.

I'll be hoping to find some Audio CD-Rs at the weekend to do my mate's one - if you still want a permanent copy next week drop me a PM. If you're a slapper you get attention off guys (the next installment is on, about Mark King)

I didn't mention Dave Grohl, Geddy Lee, Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin in the title. If i did then this thread would have run and run.

BetaFunk
It still amazes me that this thread has had so little interest. One of the greatest session players and the most important Danelectro 6-String bass player ever and a drummer on another posts gets three times the posts and five times the views. I wonder if there are more posts about bass players than drummers on drummers forums?
