billynoband Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Did anyone else get a free copy of Bass guitar magazine land on their door mat this morning, if you payed for it I would complain too. Their is plenty in the mag, not bad at all apart from the review of 5 very expensive square boxes with 12" speakers in them that you could build yourself for £120. Quote
Machines Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Sorry, are you talking about the latest issue of Bass Guitar Magazine or something else ? If so how did you get it free ? Quote
billynoband Posted August 4, 2008 Author Posted August 4, 2008 Yes indeed the Sept/Oct 2008 edition for free through my door with my name and adress on the front. I dont know why or how but they are very kind. Quote
Raggy Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I had this through also!!!!!!! Don't know why. Quote
Machines Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 How strange ! Might be worth firing them an email to find out why ? Quote
billynoband Posted August 4, 2008 Author Posted August 4, 2008 I would like to thank them anyhow, its very good and much appreciated. I just hope the subscribers dont take offense. Quote

JimBobTTD Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Were you once a subscriber? They could be trying to woo former subscribers back with a free issue. I hope so - I am thinking about giving them another go. Quote
simon1964 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 We got two copies in my house! The one that I've paid for as a subscriber, and a free copy which was addressed to my son, who is also a member on here. Have they been sending free copies to Basschat members? Quote

BigRedX Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I still haven't received my subscription copy :-( Quote
ped Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I might go and see if anyone in the street got a copy I can have! Quote
warwickhunt Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I can't even find one in WH Smiths to buy one... you bunch of shiftless chiselers must have them all Quote
Jase Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Well, they haven't reached my street yet...good idea Ped, shouldn't take me long to knock everybody up! Quote
ped Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I haven't actually BOUGHT a bass magazine for AGES since using Basschat. Everything seems so out of date by the time it is printed. I do like a magazine to read though but find them a bit steep. Quote
Jase Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Same here Ped, I haven't had one in ages......last one I had was given to me Quote

Unfortunately I don't still own it and it's heavier than is comfortable. Anyone know where I can get something similar that weighs 15lb less? Quote
