Inspector 71
Spector USA NS JMM4 ** Now Sold ** ** Price now reduced to £1400 No Trades Please Collection Preferred ** This instrument has actually been used for less than 2 months and never gigged or taken out of the house having been bought from new in mid 2014. Since then it has been put back in it's case and stored. It has a graphite nut and comes with an original unused genuine Spector brass nut (if preferred) along with the standard tool kit and case keys A stunning example of a Spector NS JMM4 bass with a lightweight, resonant Swamp Ash body, rare Spalted Maple top, EMG J and MM coil tap-able pickup and an Aguilar OBP3 3 band preamp. Weight: 8lb 9oz/3.9kg Powered by ACTIVE EMG® Pickups and Aguilar's Dynamic OBP-3™ Tone Circuit with "J" and "MM" pickups. Featuring the ORIGINAL DEEP SOCKET NECK INSERT™ design. Stuart Spector invented this neck/socket design in 1982 to allow bolt-on basses to have increased sustain and stability. A newer-modified NS-Body™ design. This design uses the original NS-Body™ profile but has less rounding of the main body planes. The horns are not as round and the back body curve is slightly less dramatic than our Neck-Thru NS-Bass Models™. 3 Piece Rock-Maple graphite reinforced neck with 24 fret Pau Ferro (Bolivian Rosewood) fingerboard and mother of pearl SPECTOR® Crown Inlays. This is a one of kind bass, hand built in Woodstock in New York State in the USA by Stuart Spector Design. Original Spector NS curved body style 34" scale, 24 frets, Deep Socket Neck Insert™ for maximum sustain and stability Graphite Reinforced 3pc Bolt on Rock Maple Neck 24 Fret Pau Ferro Fingerboard, 16" radius Width at nut: 1.64", String spacing at bridge: .75" Mother of Pearl Spector crown inlays Black Hardware, Custom Hipshot A style Brass Bridge Gotoh GB70 Tuners Dunlop Strap locks. Top: Exhibition Spalted Maple EMG Custom Dual coil active pickups - Bridge - EMG MM (coil tap), EMG J Aguilar OBP3 active preamp, bass, treble, mid (with push/pull frequency select), volume (push/pull coil tap), volume. Fitted hard case Weight -3.8kg/8lb 6oz If I am being extremely picky I would say that the only signs of wear are a few very small marks to the tuning keys (These were there from new) and some extremely light finger wear in a small area of the black section of the neck ramp, but as I say, you really have to look to see it. This Bass was nearly £2000 when purchased in mid 2014 and since then Spector have had a price increase and on top of that the US dollar has dropped so this model would probably now cost closer to £2200 so someone is going to get a real bargain. This may also be the only one in this configuration in the U.K. at the moment. The case is also in mint condition Genuine reason for sale in keeping with The Mrs policy of "One In, One Out" Any questions, please message me.
