SPHDS Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Went down the local to see a band last night and spotted a nice bass, just not sure what it is......! So I was wondering if any of you could identify it......! It has Fender on the headstock, and there is no control plate for the knobs to perch on......! Any ideas (bass player said it came from Ebay as a bit of a 'mystery bass'...!) Cheers Quote
SPHDS Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Cheers Lads! So....another minor qu......the two knobs......two volumes and no tone.....or volume and tone? (this one didn't to have the stacked pots I see in pics of 'Pokes....!) Quote
EssentialTension Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Two stacked knobs with rear entry plate is the norm. Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I thought the rear knob was for country and the front one was for western? Quote

stingrayPete1977 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I wonder if you left it a few years under the bed then when you returned to it would it "play like butter"? Quote

stingrayPete1977 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I disagree I'd put a hefty steak on it sounding more like butter than cheese? Quote
40hz Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Can't believe no one has mentioned GAS, apparently it's to blame for global warming. Although with cows it's sadly methane related. Edited November 9, 2014 by 40hz Quote
