If you were in a regular Pub/club gigging band & wanted the best transportable rig you could get & didn't want the hassel of external pedals, just plug in & play what would you get ?

I am and I want the Tonehammer 500 and 2x TKS S112 cabs. I'm sick of carrying heavy valve gear and will be buying the afore mentioned in the new year. Take one or 2 cabs as required

Everything is a compromise, it is just how far will you go..
For a lightweight pub rig, I'd start with a TH500 and 2 CN112 cabs.

Having said that..I would trump that with a DB750 rig if I could be bothered to
get it to the pub date.. and often I do..!!

I am and use a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2 amp with 2 Barefaced Big Baby 2 cabs. Use 1 cab for small/ med gigs and 2 if you need to scare someone.

the only head I can think of that has a tuner & effects are the TC BH500 & 800 .

I get your drift but given the lack of choice, I think it would be too much of a compromise for me. I'd rather have stuff I liked and a few extra cables personally. YMMV of course.

I wish I'd been able to pick up Jigster's Gallien-Kreuger RB700 2x10 combo. That'd be ideal for any style, loud enough for any pub/medium size venue and terrific tone.

Also, invest in good cables. You really can hear te difference!

Genz 9.0 and barefaced super compact.

Can get a lot of sounds out of the controls on the genz, along with plug and play ability once the gain is set.
And the barefaced is so light you don't need to think and gives more volume than you'll ever need in those kind of environments.

If money was no object, then one of those old Roland SIP-301 rack mounted pre-amps into the power amp of any decent combo with a 15" speaker (most likely a Peavey I guess). Those Roland pre-amps are simple to use and sound great. I miss mine :-(

I've been using a fender one in my neverending quest to carry around less gear, but it's not great on low B.

Can sometimes be iffy on low B depending on where and how it's fitted to the headstock.
If I can't tune the low B directly, I just tune it from an octave harmonic at the twelfth fret. Seems to work OK.

Regular gigs, chose a Genz Streamliner 900 and a BF Midget T, never wanted anything else. (Also bought a BF Compact, but not had cause to use it). I can only think of a Super Midget to make me happier.

I'm pretty happy with my Genz Shuttle 6.0 so I'd just be changing my cab for something, probably Barefaced, which I hope to do at some stage next year!

The TC BH800 looks very tempting as that has everything I need , but now the Genz has come to my attention I know it doesn't have all those features but what an amp ! .

MarkBass 2x10 combo. Excellent sound, very loud & a 1 handed carry.
Only reason I'm selling mine is because I don't gig anymore & it's not getting used.

I already got it.

A Lull PJ5 into a TH500 into a Berg CN212, and sometimes a Thunderfunk 750 into a Berg 112 and 212.

Aguilar Tonehammer and a Barefaced Super12T. Already got the cab, picking the amp up later. I would have said my Markbass CMD121P combo & NY121 cab but I need a pedal (Tech21 VT DI) to get the sound I want, whereas the Tonehammer does all I want on its own (tried one at SE Bash, awesome amps).

not quite what the OP was asking but done a couple of gigs with just my DHA pre amp pedal, DI'd into the PA, sounded great, talk about easy in/out, slightly wondering now if I really need my rig........

My Markbass rig is very portable and perfectly gigable, probably doesn't sound as good as my old Mesa Boogie set up but it doesn't take two of us to lift it in and out of the car and venue, a compromise I am willing to accept

My two S112 and LM3 are perfect for this. Use one or two cabs as required with a clip on tuner for an easy load in/out.

I'm currently building a pedal board but have until now been gigging a TC BG500 combo as is. Tuner is a bit sharp so I replaced with a snark. Onboard compression and tube tone works great for everything from GNR to David Bowie.
