Looks a good opportunity for someone, here`s hoping a Basschatter gets the gig.

I realise it's hard to sell an ageing curmudgeon like myself into the yoof pop market!
yeah, if you've not made it by 30 give up, that's the way it is, that's why there are so many old farts in covers bands, apparently Jake Bugg dumped his backing band for younger models as soon as he looked like getting somewhere, I think someone on here can confirm that.
I saw Jake Bugg on Jools Hollands Later prog, and he had a, well shall we say more mature drummer with him. Turns out his regular drummer couldn`t make it for some reason, and the mature gentleman when asked about standing in on the performance said, rather tongue in cheek I think, that he was hoping to learn lots from the youngsters. chris_b
That was Pete Thomas from the Attractions, sitting in for JB's drummer. As soon as the "talent" gets a deal the band is usually fired and a bunch of kids hired who will look "prettier" and be happy with a much smaller pay packet. sprocketflup
Oddly enough as an old fart of 43 myself, I usually put more energy into my performances than a lot of the youngsters ive shared stages with. Not that I do that with kate Bush of course, thatd look a bit weird Edited December 27, 2014 by sprocketflup
