franzbassist Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 That's very nice.
McIntyre name added
Do you mean he removed the Sei logo and re-badged it? If so that's a bit naughty! Cheers Gareth

Also, Chris McIntyre was the main luthier at The Gallery for a number of years and would have made this bass when he worked there.. So I just went with the re-badge y'know..

I know there were some "issues"...quite possible he built the bass though, but still, it seems a bit of a step to rebadge it, a bit like Vinnie Fodera rebadging a Ken Smith. Regardless, I think I'll stay out of this one, although I'd be interested to hear what Martin would say.... Edited August 4, 2008 by 4000
silverfoxnik Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 That's a lovely looking bass and very reasonably priced I think considering what it's loaded with.. Good luck with the sale!

Sei basses have a fairly long pedigree and this helps with the value etc. An example of this is that you've listed this as "Sei Bass" and not as a "McIntyre". I'm not having a dig at you for this, just a bit surprised that Chris would have wanted to re-badge really.
Kingbassist Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 After an initial sale has fallen through this bass is still for sale. Please get in touch if you're interested. Many thanks, Ian

It can't be a difficult job to do. ( chris m. could of course have gotten hold of a sei logo too, instead of putting his own on.) Edited September 14, 2008 by abc
