ped Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Thanks for those, very cool. I have just moved house and finished setting up my 'bass lunge' corner today so looking forward to grooving with these... ped Quote
Oscar South Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) Good samples, but... How do you download these to disc? Right click/save target doesn't work (just tries to download an 'index.php' file) and clicking them just opens it in my browser where it can't even be looped. Edited August 5, 2008 by Oscar South Quote
ped Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I am using quicktime pro where you can save them from the browser no problem... Quote

I just tried the same. right clicked and chose "download linked file as". In the box it was called "index.php". I cancelled that and then right clicked and chose "download linked file". That worked. I don't know if this is a mac thing. Quote
ZMech Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 boredom + new stealthplug = me recording my somewhat sloppy playing and uploading it for others to hear! Quote
ZMech Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008
Good effort Zach, groovy!
Cheers ped. I think if i record another I might play it through more than twice before recording it. Now that I've set the bar not especially high, hopefully other people will show us their efforts Quote
MuseMatt Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 also a small playalong here have to say funk isn't really my style but i hope my attempt will do Quote
ped Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Nice!! sweet groove man. I will have a go at this too! Quote
MuseMatt Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 (edited) I now expect something fancier I only play for 4 years  Edited September 16, 2008 by MuseMatt Quote
ped Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Its not about the complexity, the funk can be had by banging a tin. Mine will probably be even simpler! ped Quote
MuseMatt Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 i know but i'd like to hear some slapping on this (i can't slap to safe my life tbh ) but i agree: some times less is more! Quote
Paul Cooke Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I like to play sparse and leave spaces for the beat to shine through... ps. Is it easy to loop these files using audacity or something? I tried using an ordinary audio player to repeat them but there was an obvious pause where the loop happened. answering myself... ooh yes, just select the entire waveform using Edit: Select all, then use the Repeat in the Effects list. Enter the number of repeats and it is automagically done Quote
MuseMatt Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 i just use nuendo (cubase-like). no editing done on bass like comp.. im pretty pleased with the sound! Quote
