KevB
I don't use its versatility half as much as I probably could. I just found that even with all the knobs, sliders and push button options on my Trace combo I could still get an improved tone with the pedal in place so it just stays there, I don't change the dials unless the room is particularly weird and I keep it on all the time. If I played bigger venues or there was a problem with my rig I'm guessing the DI aspect of it might come into play but not needed it yet. mcnach
Well, mine arrived today! And the strings too
mcnach
Well, the strings I'm keeping, but I'm not sure the Bass Attack is for me... I suspect it'll be returned or sold on this forum soon. The shape knob is just as I remember disliking on a Hartke amp there was at a rehearsal place I used to go to (why was I thinking it'd be different? ) and the harmonics knob doesn't do it for me. I don't hate it but... I really have no use for it, I don't think. I was hoping it will give me other sounds, I suppose. Ah well... anybody after a 15-min used Bass Atttack? edit: I just contacted Thomann to return it, and keeping the strings edit2: Thomann are fantastic: they just sent me a label, I pay nothing for the return! Weststarx
Mine came today, got a gig tonight but dont want to risk using it straight away with having a play first! Fustrating!
Happy Jack
Just used mine for the first time, at rehearsal. What a lovely pedal! I saw a review by a name bassist who said he just used the Shape control so I tried doing that - one of the easiest 'wins' I've ever had with any pedal or effect. At £38 this is pretty unbeatable. AndyTravis
That's £38 I didn't know I had to spend...
Weststarx
I used mine for the first time at practice last night and the tone coming from my amp was absolutely awesome!! The overdrive is exactly what I wanted from a distortion pedal as well. I love it so much I'm really tempted to buy a second one...
mcnach
You're all making me wonder whether I didn't give it a real chance! (mine got returned).
paul_5
Playing a charity/multiple band setup on Saturday (I know, but this one is an exception); it's the only pedal I'm taking…
paul_5
Pleased to report that the HBA did really well last night. Ran it into a super-clean SWR head and it growled like a good 'un, the blend control is your best friend!
Woodinblack
And one turned up for christmas. It is pretty wide in its range of sound isn't it? I think I might be able to drop other effects apart from muse covers!
sprocketflup
hmmmm....do I need one of these?
Woodinblack
For my point of view it is good, as it has quite a wide EQ, so I can change the whole sound of the bass to fit the space I have - I had changed from my dingwall to one of my ibanezes as the sound didn't fit, but with the Harkte I can put the sound where I want it to be.
