What I did today

Well having read this forum over and over again and trawled the internet for advice on a new rig

It was decided this morning that it was time to make good on the threats and actually go to Bass Gear in Twyford

So I packed up my guitar and headed down the M4

First of I got a coffee, so that's one up on any other type of shop I have been to, I then spent a very enjoyable 3hrs in there trying everything that Vic and Phil could throw at me and listening to a nice chap play away on his new bass

I tried

mark bass 12" combo and additional 12" cab
GK Mb800 with 2x 12" GK neo cabs
GK fusion 500 with 2x 12" GK neo cabs
TH500 with 2x 12" Aggie cabs
TH500 with 2x 12" berg cabs
GK fusion 500 with 2x 12" berg cabs
TH500 with 2x TKS 12" cabs
GK fusion 500 with 2x TKS 12" cabs

Vic and Phil were absolute stars and listened to my whims and offered expert advice, I went in with no idea as to what I wanted and didn't want to replicate anyone and so I approached with open mind and let my ears decide what to buy

Did I make a decision??

Yes I did, but this thread is more about the bass gear experience and how extremely well I was treated and what a joy the experience was

Oh yes I decided on this, in my opinion a great sound for me and I loved it
Just deciding on the vinyl before submitting my order
