Kevin Dean
The fact that these are no more , Would that effect you from buying one with reference to future servicing ? I'm looking at a couple a 9.2 & a 12.2 .
HowieBass
To my knowledge there's no authorised service centre in the UK; gear bought new would have been covered by returning to the retailer if problems developed; I think it would have been dealt with via the Fender network. You would probably have to find a decent amp technician for getting secondhand/old gear fixed but having said that I believe Genz Benz is pretty reliable so unless it's been abused you're probably only looking at eventually replacing valves where appropriate. Hopefully other Genz Benz owners on here can add their views.
BassTractor
Before I made the choice to buy after the takeover, it had been mentioned several times on BC that Fender have already shown to take the Genz Benz warranties seriously, so I felt confident enough. Also, they are seen as well-built. This too was an aspect for me.
stingrayPete1977
Existing warranty work is still covered I beleive if you buy new old stock?
IanA
Fender UK are still honouring warranty repairs on Genz products, they have just replaced the LED's in the front of my Streamliner and service was fault free, I had the amp back within 3 days! I cannot see why they would not carry out retail work as well, it is worth giving them a call as they are really helpful.
