chrismuzz
Nice basses, well made, good looks. I think the tone of the ones I've heard is a bit too dark but I guess if you try it and like it that's all that matters
Cameronj279
Haven't heard anything bad about them and although only played one very briefly I found the neck to be very chunky (5 stringer) but the sound was good and it felt nice except from the chunky neck
Machines
I tried 3 in Birmingham and 2 of them were faulty. One was totally dead and the other one of the pickups was dead. Try before you buy but don't expect a lot. The Chaos 5 I nearly went for but know deep down whilst it had the pickup config I wanted, wasn't great quality. Immo
I have a Traben Neo I lent to an old buddy of mine years ago (I'm still technically an owner). Runs really smooth, is comfortable and sounds awesome with bright flats like Chromes. EQ is really powerful, maybe even slightly TOO powerful One thing: check the neck cavity, mine had a lot of rubbish inside, after removal the sustain improved and the tone gained much richness and smoothness. kodiakblair
I've a Neo. Great looking finish, sunburst spalted, balances well. Its a Korean made model and has no issues. Strung with RS Nexus it sounds good. I've heard there were some problems with the early Chinese models but that should be sort by now. BigRedX
I had a Phoenix 5-string. Looked fantastic. Played OK although it could have done with a bit more finish on the neck so it didn't feel quite so rough and more attention paid to the fret ends. Low B was a bit crap, but then I've yet to play a bass with a retail price of under £1000 that had a decent low B.
