FinnDave Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I'm not exactly a fan of TV, but my wife tells me this will be recorded for me. Quote
White Cloud Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Great show.....it was shown a week or so ago on ITV. Well worth watching. Quote
KevB Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I'll be setting the hard disc recorder and keep it for a while. If it doesn't end up on iPlayer for some reason anyone who misses it can send me a blank DVD disk and I'll post it back with the programme on it. Quote
steantval Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Spotted it in the TV Guide. I'll definitely be setting the recorder tonight. Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Just watched it, a good programe, preceded by another good programme about Kate Bush. Nice one BBC4, made a Monday evening worthwhile. Quote

Freddy Le Cragg Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Nice to hear the classics outside their usual wrapping. Sunshine with a Ceildh (sp?) band was pretty cool. Quote
madshadows Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) Watched it last night, really enjoyed it, Ginger is a character ! John Edited November 18, 2014 by madshadows Quote
Marvin Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Stayed up and watched it last night, very good programme. Really interesting to watch how Jack Bruce played, very much a style of his own. Great tone as well (I liked it). Ginger Baker, unfortunately, reinforced his reputation. He seems to have a very different take on 'history'. Quote
Coilte Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 (edited)
Sunshine with a Ceildh (sp?) band was pretty cool.
Same kind of thought crossed my mind....i.e. who would have thought that "Sunshine.." could sound so good with an accordion included. Edited November 18, 2014 by Coilte Quote
Hutton Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I still had it recorded from when it was on a good while ago. Liked it so much I kept it. Quote
inthedoghouse Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Really enjoyed it, and the Kate Bush docu before it :-) Shame to see what has become of Ginger though Quote
flyfisher Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Still available on iPlayer for 7 days . . . http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01c6hw2 Quote
God, didn't he just? Mrs Dog said that he seems a well-balanced individual, in that he has a massive chip on both shoulders. Quote
Yes. Bitterness is the word alright. If you are interested as to just how much bitterness, check out the documentary "Beware of Mr Baker". I think it is on You Tube.
