tony_m Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Not my Wal (obviously, as I don't possess such a beast), but it probably belongs here. 1977 Wal JG Custom Bass at Norman's Rare Guitars... 1 Quote
ezbass Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Those bad lads at Wal have just posted this on FB to tempt the masses. 2 Quote
mikeswals Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 I flew over to collect my new Mk2 at Wal HQ. Was a wonderful visit with Paul, and got to see some neat basses in progress and other timbers that would be just awesome future basses. Lots of tempt for sure! Quote

mikeswals Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 (edited) My maple Mk3 4 string in the group picture above got sold. Then a Mk2 fell in my lap to replace it. Edited November 13, 2018 by mikeswals 3 Quote
medpb Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 My Wal photos have gone from this post. Must be because of the web site update right? Here they are again....Sorry to be a bore : ) 2 Quote
medpb Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 (edited) Ive only started to make friends with this one in the recent months OMG what was i thinking its unbelievable ! Ive not really looked at it in 16 years. Love it. Edited November 18, 2018 by medpb Just thinking maybe I shouldn't have posted a photo of this bass in a case. Might be a open invitation for fraudsters to do no good. 4 Quote
Urban Bassman Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Just shared these on the Wal FB page but I thought I'd put them here too. Geddy's bass book just landed and here are the pages with his Wals. The book is great by the way. 1 Quote

MC1970 Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Hi All, sorry for asking but curiosity is huge here...... I recently bought a used mkII 5 strings Wal, and I'd like to know if someone here has been one of the previous owners. W3910 mkII 5 strings - wenge facings, rosewood fretboard and chrome hardware. Thanks! Quote
Bilbo Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 There was a website that listed all the Wals ever made with the owners if known. Quote

It only listed some, so many large gaps between most of the serials. That page was created by someone at a university for a very short time, then was locked out, and only represents about 15% of Wals. Of the 12 old era Wals I've had, only 2 are listed in there. Quote
mikeswals Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) Does anyone here have a midi 5 string MB5? And/or does anyone here have old or dead modules or other midi parts? Edited November 21, 2019 by mikeswals Quote
